Arts & carfts workshop

At our Bal Gyaan Learning Center, along with the fun of unleashing creativity, we taught our students the importance of waste management.

Reduce, Reuse and Repurpose

We organised a day full of fun and learning by teaching our children how to make beautiful flowers (that can be used for decoration) by using waste materials such as plastic. With such activities we aim to make our children more sustainable and future ready.

Eye Care

The BG Foundation teamed up with VisionSpring to conduct eye check-ups for children in our Baal Gyaan learning centers. A total of 90 LC children and staff members were screened and given eyeglasses.

Vision Screening

The objective of this camp was to spread awareness of eye disorders, early detection of ailments with the help of vision screenings, and access to affordable glasses.

Breast cancer awareness

BG Foundation with the support of BGIF organised a breast cancer health check-up in Birla hospital, for the women of the community in Tigra and Samaspur

Independence day

We celebrated the 76th year of the Independence of India by hoisting our flag at our learning center. At BGF we ensure that our children understand their roots and culture.

Bicycle distribution

The Thought Bulb generously donated 47 bicycles which we distributed amongst our students of Bal Gyaan and Udaan - making the commute to their schools and colleges easier

Distributing food

For the children that wish to distribute food and chocolate on their birthday, the BG Foundation helps them by providing the food and candies!

Sapna & Anju

Sapna and Anju joined the BG Foundation's Spreading smiles learning centre (circle 4) in 2020 for their formal education. They realised their true passion and potential for design and fashion with us. Here's a brief timeline of their journey with us:

2020

Through the spreading smiles circle, they enrolled in the UDAAN mentorship program.

2021

Sapna and Anju completed a 6-month program in Dress design from BMS GGN centre. Under the National Skill development centre and they scored 77 & 79% marks

2022

Sapna is turning a new chapter in her life and getting married next year. She will be moving to Lucknow and opening her own boutique!

We supported Anju by getting her admission to the National Skill Institute for Women in Computer embroidery and designing a one-year diploma course in Noida which she completed with flying colours.
